How does G-d measure time?
Surely not by ticks and tocks,
Does He care about my rhymes?
Can He hear all of my thoughts?
I think more than I speak,
That much I know is true,
And in my head, a million things,
That I am sorting through,
One hundred thoughts, all at once,
But this is nothing new,
The mind just goes, on and on,
While the brain’s interest accrues.
To the King, what is time,
Surely it’s not a clock.
What could a minute be,
To the one who first made rocks?
Moments pass, and seconds fade,
And mortal men are shocked.
But him, he just, turns the page,
As our bones turn in to chalk.
But still He cares, about our prayers,
About our acts and deeds,
He sees when we cut our hair,
And if we brush our teeth.
The G-d of Kings, The G-d of Time,
The Filler of the Seas,
He takes his time, everyday,
To ask me what I need.
And in return, all he asks,
Is I praise the things I see,
And for these thoughts, the gift I get,
Is He may notice me.

Oh Great G-d of David,
Who saw when Sarah’s son was born,
Please take me in your favor,
Fill my cup not now with thorns,
I give to you my labor,
And I’ll sing with heaven’s horns,
My Eternal Savior,
Let my soul your throne adorn.
